The opportunity
Our client is an established real estate business with a long-standing presence in Indooroopilly and the surrounding Brisbane market. The property management department is stable, well-resourced and led by people who understand that workload directly affects service.
You would take full ownership of the property management department — structure, people, portfolio allocation, operational performance, compliance and profitability — reporting directly to the directors.
The team works on PropertyMe with current processes and templates already in place. It would suit an experienced Head of Department or Team Leader ready for full departmental ownership.
The role
- Leading the property management department and its structure
- Recruitment, onboarding, retention and staff development
- Portfolio structure, allocation and workload management
- Operational performance, reporting and departmental profitability
- Process, procedure and template ownership
- Managing escalated client issues and reputational risk
- Compliance, trust accounting oversight and legislative currency
- Working with the directors on rent roll growth and culture
About you
- Proven leadership of a property management department or sizeable team
- Strong commercial understanding of rent roll performance
- Experience with recruitment, training and retention
- Thorough knowledge of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act and trust accounting obligations
- a QLD real estate registration certificate (full licence preferred)
- A calm, credible presence with owners, staff and directors
